Board certified in both orthopaedic surgery and sports medicine, Dr. Alan Hirahara will teach expert ultrasound techniques to accurately guide a variety of shoulder injections for optimal visualization of anatomy and your needle.

In this 1-hour webinar, you’ll learn how effective, easy, and affordable it is to add high-definition wireless ultrasound to your practice. Dr. Hirahara will use a cadaver shoulder to teach:

  • How to accurately inject into the biceps and subscapularis tendons or sheaths
  • Visualization of supraspinatus tendon abnormalities and PRP injection guidance
  • The best approach for needle visualization during a subacromial space injection
  • Accurate and effective AJ joint and intra-articular shoulder injections
  • Tips to pinpoint the optimal location for successful suprapectoral biceps tenodesis

Research confirms that, when compared to landmark-guided injections, intraarticular, tendinous, or bursal injections using ultrasound guidance are more effective and accurate, and yield better clinical results. Join Dr. Hirahara to learn how to use high-definition wireless ultrasound to guide accurate shoulder procedures and remove the guesswork!

Polls in several Clarius pain management and orthopedic webinars have indicated that hundreds of physicians are most concerned with inaccurate or imprecise injections when performing blind injections. Using high-definition wireless ultrasound has proven to increase accuracy and decrease the pain associated with blind pain medicine injections.

On October 11th, Dr. Alan Hirahara, MD, FRCSC, invites fellow orthopedic surgeons, sports medicine experts, and all clinicians who perform MSK procedures to explore how handheld ultrasound can be used to guide their needle to the exact tendon, bursa or joint space, and aide in the planning of treatment and surgical interventions for painful shoulders.

Dr. Hirahara is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon, sports medicine expert, and educator extraordinaire, and has been using ultrasound in his practice for over a decade. He is passionate about finding new and exciting uses for ultrasound to improve injection techniques and surgery results for his patients.

Dr. Hirahara will be joined by emergency physician, Oron Frenkle and Sonographer, Shelley Guenther for live scanning to help you build practical skills that you can use with your next patient. You will learn expert techniques to take your procedural skills to the next level with ultrasound-guided injections. It’s time to put blind injections behind you!
