Join leading ultrasound educator Dr. Karina Ravera, Medical Specialist in Diagnostic Imaging, for an in-depth look at using high-resolution ultrasound to evaluate the microanatomy of the face and improve aesthetic treatment planning.
In this 1-hour webinar, Dr. Ravera will provide a detailed and practical exploration of facial anatomy through high-resolution ultrasound. You’ll learn:
- How to identify the skin’s microanatomy and recognize signs of aging such as the subepidermal low-echogenic band (SLEB)
- The relationship between superficial and deep facial fat compartments and the SMAS
- How to distinguish facial muscles and assess their depth and symmetry
- How to locate bony landmarks and critical foramina to avoid neurovascular injury
- Tips for integrating ultrasound into pre-treatment planning to improve safety and outcomes

Mastering facial ultrasound anatomy is a key tool for enhancing both safety and precision in minimally invasive aesthetic procedures, as well as for the diagnosis and therapeutic monitoring of several cutaneous conditions.
Sonographer Janaye Smith will perform live scanning with the Clarius L20 HD3—our ultra-high frequency scanner designed for facial aesthetics, and demonstrate how T-Mode™ makes learning ultrasound easier.
