Taking a few minutes to explore facial anatomy with high-resolution ultrasound prior to injecting dermal fillers can make injections much more predictable. Join Dr. Zainab Al-Mukhtar as she shares her approach to safer nonsurgical rhinoplasty.
In this 1-hour webinar, learn Dr. Zainab’s technique for planning safe injections in the nose by identifying anatomical structures, including blood vessels. You’ll learn:
- The goal of nonsurgical rhinoplasty, and the desired cosmetic outcomes
- Basic nasal anatomy and recognition of tissue layers from the skin to the periosteum
- Vascular structures in the nose, and the variability of their position
- Scanner position and scanning technique required to image the nose
- How to optimize filler injections based on ultrasound findings
Nonsurgical rhinoplasty continues to increase in popularity worldwide, and yet remains the highest risk area of the face to augment due to its wide vascular variability and connections to the supply of the eye.
Due to the anatomical nature of the nose, vascular compromise is a potential complication in nonsurgical rhinoplasty procedures. However, a thorough understanding of nasal anatomy and visualizing exactly what’s under the skin can help minimize uncertainty. Using high-resolution ultrasound can help aesthetics practitioners gain valuable insight into a patient’s vascular anatomy in real time, making injections safer and more accurate.
Dr. Zainab has performed nonsurgical rhinoplasty procedures, using ultrasound as her guide, countless times. She’ll share two patient cases to demonstrate vascular and anatomical variability, carefully planning HA injections based on her ultrasound findings.
Dr. Zainab will be joined by your host and sonographer Shelley Guenther, who will perform live scanning with the Clarius L20 HD3 – now 30% lighter, more affordable, highly specialized for facial aesthetics, and comes with Voice Controls and the exciting new T-mode™ AI for facial aesthetics.
