hi I'm Shelley and today I'd like to introduce you to clarus OB aai we're on a mission to make fetal biometry measurements easily achievable to caregivers regardless of their level of ultrasound training so let me show you how it works I have a first trimester model here I'm using the C3 scanner in the obstetric preset and we're just going to locate the region of the baby doesn't have to be perfect and to activate the OB aai I'm going to click the AI icon and let the system know that we're doing an early OB so that it knows the measurement that we're going to be doing so right away we'll see an overlay over the fetus and the other thing that you'll notice is that there's a red end and a blue end and this is telling the AI where it needs to place the calipers so it's just important for you to make sure that you have the red end which is identifying the crown and the blue end which is identifying the rump you can also adjust the opacity of the mat by sliding from right to left till you get the image that you like and then when I see a nice red and a blue indicator I'm going to freeze my image and you'll see calipers placed at the crown and the rump I can adjust these if I don't like where the AI has placed them but as you can see is very accurate it's giving us a gestational age of 8 weeks and 6 days which corresponds very closely to the estimated due date so so there you have it a quick and easy way to do a crown rump length for a first trimester obstetrical ultrasound
