Changing Depth

Esther Donohue B.S., RDMS, RDCS, RVT

Adjusting depth is an important step in optimizing your image. If the depth is too shallow pathology may be outside the field of view and missed. When the depth is set too deep the area of interest is small and it is difficult to evaluate for pathology.

hi my name's esther i'm going to be showing you today how to change the depth on your clarius scanner it's important to have the correct depth so you can see the area of interest in the pathology that may be there to change the depth on your clarius scanner you simply take your finger and swipe up for more depth and now you can see i'm at seven centimeters however it's very difficult to visualize the lobe of the thyroid to change that i take my finger and i swipe down and if i go with too shallow of a depth i'm not able to see the thyroid at all so i simply put my finger on the screen and swipe up and frame the area of interest in the middle of the screen for the best diagnosis
