Pain management expert Dr. David Rosenblum joined us to teach how high-resolution point-of-care ultrasound could improve the accuracy and effectiveness of PRP injections.

In this 1-hour webinar, Dr. Rosenblum, Director of Pain Medicine at the Maimonides Medical Center in New York, shared 4 patient cases recently captured on video using ultrasound to guide platelet-rich-plasma (PRP) injections. You’ll learn how to:

  • Evaluate indications and contraindications of PRP therapy
  • Visualize your needle and target anatomy for safe, effective injections
  • Maximize efficacy by ensuring platelet rich plasma is hitting the intended target in the neck
  • Deliver targeted ultrasound-guided sacroiliac joint PRP
  • Inject the gluteal bursa under direct ultrasound visualization
  • Use ultrasound to guide PRP into common MSK targets like the knee joint

Ultrasound-guided PRP injections have revolutionized the field of regenerative medicine. Dr. Rosenblum shares insights into ultrasound-guided PRP injections along with the benefits and clinical applications that can elevate your pain management practice.

Literature shows that musculoskeletal pain is the most common pain reported by patients. Orthobiologics like PRP, are shown to facilitate the healing of ligament and tendon injuries, osteoarthritis, and other orthopedic conditions associated with chronic pain, to provide long-term relief.

In this webinar, Dr. David Rosenblum, MD, Director of Maimonides Medical Center in New York, describes how and when he uses ultrasound to accurately guide platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections to promote tissue repair, reduce inflammation, and relieve pain for his patients suffering from chronic pain.

Dr. Rosenblum’s first case is a patient who has had multiple invasive and non-invasive procedures to treat her chronic neck pain, with no relief. By sharing video footage of his procedure, Dr. Rosenblum demonstrates how he used the articular pillars of the C-spine as an ultrasound landmark to guide the needle and inject the muscles in the region at multiple levels to deliver effective pain relief for this patient.

For his second patient case, Dr. Rosenblum demonstrates PRP injections for both the chronic sacroiliac joint pain and gluteal and greater trochanteric bursitis.  You’ll see Dr. Rosenblum clearly identify the SI joints and plan his needle trajectories for safe, accurate treatment.

Following this, Dr. Rosenblum demonstrates the use of Needle Enhance to identify the needle during a deeper greater trochanteric injection.

For his final case study, he discusses a patient who suffers from chronic knee arthritis and why he’s optimistic PRP therapy prevents or delays the need for surgery.  Dr. Rosenblum shows how to use ultrasound to identify the joint space while avoiding bone, for a painless intraarticular injection.

This webinar will equip you with the knowledge and skills to optimize your ability to provide effective minimally invasive, non-surgical pain relief, and foster the healing process in your patients.

Dr. Rosenblum is joined by your Clarius host and sonographer Shelley Guenther Don’t miss this opportunity to expand your ultrasound-guided procedural expertise and enhance patient care using wireless ultrasound.
