Dr. Alan Hirahara, who is board certified in both orthopaedic surgery and orthopaedic sports medicine, teaches how to visualize your needle and target anatomy with high-definition ultrasound to effectively treat pain with every procedure.
In this 1-hour webinar, you’ll learn how effective, easy and affordable it is to add handheld ultrasound to your practice. Dr. Hirahara teaches:
- Basics on POCUS-guided treatment modalities for MSK pathologies
- How to perform painless and slick ultrasound-guided knee injections

- How to use ultrasound to guide tendon injections for maximal benefit
Research has accumulated over the past decade that ultrasound consistently delivers more accurate needle placement when compared to gold standard evaluation. Join Dr. Hirahara to learn how to use handheld ultrasound in your practice and up your game!
Getting “close enough” isn’t good enough when travelling to a new destination, so why accept it for our patients? Today, we use GPS to know exactly where we are. The paper map and compass are a thing of the past. So let’s put blind injections behind us with AI-powered ultrasound, now so affordable, accessible and easy to use.
Relying on landmark approaches to delivering injections in the clinic and the operating room has normalized patient pain and discomfort during procedures and leads to only satisfactory results. Dr. Alan M Hirahara, MD, FRCSC, invites his fellow orthopaedic surgeons, sport medicine experts and all physicians who perform MSK procedures to learn how to use handheld ultrasound to guide their needle to the exact anatomical target.
Research shows that clinicians who use ultrasound to guide their injections report improved patient satisfaction as there is significantly decreased pain and discomfort with more rapid improvement. It’s time to move beyond antiquated blind procedures and watch our needles in real-time with high-definition visualization of patient anatomy. The only barrier is some minimal training and an affordable ultrasound device.
Board-certified orthopaedic surgeon, sports medicine expert and educator extraordinaire, Dr. Hirahara has been using ultrasound to guide his clinic procedures for over a decade. In this webinar, he brings knowledge for beginner, intermediate and advanced point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) users from all walks of clinical practice.
Dr. Hirahara is joined by Dr. Oron Frenkel, MD, Emergency Physician and Chairman of the Clarius Medical Advisory Board. They show you how to take your procedural skills to the next level with ultrasound-guided injections and help you build practical skills that you can use with your next patient. Let’s make blind injections a thing of the past!
