Join anesthesiologist and ultrasound expert Dr. Rudiger Eichholz as he shares essential techniques for safer, more precise procedures, demonstrated with interscalene brachial plexus blocks.

With decades of experience, Dr. Eichholz will walk you through pillars of safe ultrasound procedures: understanding in-plane needle guidance, out-of-plane guidance, and ultrasound scanner micromovements using real patient studies to demonstrate each technique. Mastering these elements is key to performing quicker, more successful procedures with confidence.

In this 1-hour webinar, you will learn through live instruction, videos, graphics, and animations, with actionable take-home messages that you can immediately apply in your practice. You’ll learn:

  • The fundamentals of out-of-plane and in-plane needle guidance for precise targeting
  • How to execute probe micro-movements for enhanced control and better visualization of the needle and your target
  • How to get perfect syringe and guidewire control
  • Sonoanatomy of the interscalene and supraclavicular brachial plexus
  • B-mode and M-mode techniques for imaging the diaphragm to rule out post-block hemiparesis
  • Pleural imaging in the assessment of lung sliding

The interscalene brachial plexus block plays an important role in shoulder surgery. Real-time ultrasound guidance has the advantage of reducing the dose of anesthesia without reducing the success rate and prolonging the duration of the block.

Dr. Eichholz shares real patient studies to demonstrate his pre-operative interscalene brachial plexus block protocol, ensuring you leave with the skills needed to refine your procedures the very next day. Whether you’re new to ultrasound-guided procedures or looking to sharpen your skills, this webinar will give you the tools to perform safer, faster, and more effective blocks.
