hi I'm Jana and today we're scanning a second trimester pregnancy and I'm going to be demonstrating how to measure a femur I've already input the patient demographics and the due date based on the patient's dating ultrasound so we're going to start here and locate the baby's femur in the longest Dimension um we're lining it up so that we can see two blunt ends of the femur and we'll freeze the image and we access the measurement package here and we'll select femur we're going to put our calipers one on each end of the femur and the measurement is displayed here on the top left hand portion of the screen and it comes up with 20 weeks and one day and that's how we easily measure a femur length in the second trimester
