I'm oron Franklin an Emergency Physician scanning the lungs can provide incredibly useful information in assessing patients with dnia or chest pain to perform the scan I'm going to use a C3 scanner starting here on the anterior thorax I'll zoom in decrease my depth to really identify that clear sharp plural line and sliding make sure there's no sign of numo thorax from here I'll decrease the depth to investigate the lung parena and I'll do it in a six- Zone protocol for physici to prefer a smoother Contour you can add the smoothing function to change the view of those a lines I'll drop down to a second window here move over into the mid axillary line and scan two zones down to the diaphragm here and then I'll finish the scan as we learned from Co to ensure we cover the posterior and inferior lung regions as well making sure there's no signs of beines consolidation or a fusion I'll repeat the scan on the other side of the chest and using all that information together put it together to help facilitate my diagnosis and management of this patient
