hi my name is esther i'm going to be showing you how to use the pulsed wave doppler on your clarius scanner to activate it you press the icon in the lower left hand corner of your different modes and you go to pulse wave doppler once selected your pulse wave will appear in your field of view you take the gate and you move it to the center of the vessel and to adjust your spectrum you swipe down so that you can see the highest velocity registered once you're ready you freeze your image and we have a full complement of measurements so that you can measure the velocity you go to the pencil and the ruler icon and select your right common carotid artery measure the peak and the end and you see the velocities demonstrated in the lower left hand corner you
