Specialties: MSK, Rheumatology
Applications: Elbow, MSK, Superficial
this video we have a linear scanner on the musculoskeletal preset here placed on the lateral aspect of the elbow at the radiohumeral joint here's the humerus and the radial head and we can immediately see this complex fluid collection that is contiguous with the joint itself suggesting a complex joint capsule effusion there is synovial thickening here as well and we can investigate further by adding power doppler to see if there is hypervascularity of this lesion which in this patient was suspected to have rheumatologic disease and as we put the power doppler on we can see there is hypervascularity to the surrounding synovium as well as to the tissue within this capsule and fluid collection all to suggest in this patient likely rheumatologic process in this patient it turned out to be rheumatoid arthritis
