in this video we see the linear scanner on a nerve preset here in a transverse plane placed on the forearm and here we have the ulnar nerve that is on the ulnar aspect of the ulnar artery and we can watch the needle come in in longitudinal plane first through each individual tissue plane visualizing the needle tip as it proceeds towards the ulnar nerve seen here and now a budding up against it you can watch the anesthetic spread in real time outside of the nerve fascicles right next to the nerve delivering anesthetic around the nerve ideally in a full circumferential spread but here we have the artery in the way which can limit sometimes the full spread of the anesthetic all the way around the needle is redirected underneath the nerve to try and deliver more anesthetic below it to get as good of a spread as possible you
