hi Dr Arlette we're now using a male as our model to demonstrate maybe some little differences between genders in terms of what we see so here we have the prodded which in in males is sometimes a little bit thicker a little bit deeper we can see that the prodded fascia which is the sharp White Band is very distinct coming anterior we can see the masseter is a little thicker and there are more app on your roses within this than just clench your teeth if you would and relax and we can see those app on your OCS change their position we'll just come anterior to this and we see as the masseter ends so we can see the facial vein there color mode we just see the facial artery coming up anterior to that and color mode so now we're looking at the platysma which is more easily seen in men than in women so we're seeing the platysma very well here in the immediate phrase subdermal plane uh really bounded on either side by fashion so occasionally within the parotid you'll find structures like this which is a lymph node within the parotid gland it also helps you know exactly where you are and gives you an idea of of the importance of the parotid in the immune system foreign
