so this patient is here for a viscose supplement of the knee this is her third injection she's overall doing okay with the injections which knee was worse it's my right hand your right knee okay well that's what we're starting at right now i'm going to scan the super patellar tendon which is right here on the screen the bursa is the black line above it that's the super patella versa underneath it you have the super patellar recess i'm going to turn my ultrasound probe 90 degrees so patella scanning north can you bend your knee 90 at 90 degrees rosie yeah bend it keep going bending the knee will expose the super patellar recess as you can see here and that will be the target for this injection i'm gonna give you a lidocaine injection first okay rosie okay i'm gonna decrease my depth a little pinch move slightly out of plane and sometimes the patella may interfere with your ability to see your needle tip but you see the needle here right now am i hurting you no he did okay you're okay good and the needle is in the recess and the injections going in smooth okay
