hi i'm shelly and today i'm going to tell you about trapezoidal imaging now sometimes when you're using a linear scanner the field of view is not quite wide enough to include everything that you need to see on your image the trapezoidal imaging extends that field of view by creating an image base wider than the footprint of the transducer so this is an example i'm seeing a thyroid but i'm not including both the lateral parts of both lobes so to activate trapezoidal imaging i'm going to go to the mode button press the trapezoidal icon and now i'm getting a much more complete view of the thyroid gland on the lateral aspects of both lobes so trapezoidal imaging is a great tool to extend the field of view with your linear scanners you
