we've got a gentleman here having a right knee arthroscopy uh with a meniscectomy and chondroplasty so we're going to do an intra-articular injection with some morphine and marcane we use 30ccs of quarter percent lupicane and 10 milligrams of morphine in the intra-articular injection prior to prepping and draping so first thing we're going to do is do a little prep here on the lateral side of the knee there's his patella come just above the patella and we want to get right into this recess right up here uh just deep to the pre-patellar fat pad and we're going to come in like this right there we'll start injecting and that's perfect you don't see the area open up much because it's going down into the joint into this space here boom we're injecting 30 cc's you don't really see that opening because it's all going down into the knee joint which is perfect see the needle beautifully there and pull it out see the femur down here and our local went in that went into the joint so again boom we're done we'll clean this up be out of the way we'll get prepped and draped and get our knees to scope going thank you very much
