Join Dr. Alan Hirahara and Dr. Alberto Panero, top sports medicine experts, as they discuss how to increase reimbursements with wireless ultrasound for rapid diagnostics, optimized procedural accuracy, and better patient satisfaction.

In this 1-hour webinar, you’ll learn how effective, easy, and affordable it is to add handheld ultrasound to your practice. We will explore:

  • Ultrasound best practices to improve injection accuracy and patient outcomes
  • When to use cortisone versus orthobiologics
  • How to bill for diagnostic MSK ultrasound examinations
  • How to increase reimbursements with ultrasound-guided interventions

A time- and cost-efficient imaging modality, ultrasound is fast becoming the standard of care across orthopaedic surgery, sports medicine, and interventional pain management. Join Drs. Hirahara and Panero to learn the advantages of handheld ultrasound for your practice. You’ll receive comprehensive guidance to billing and coding for both diagnostic and therapeutic MSK ultrasound to optimize reimbursements.

Not only can adding ultrasound increase the profitability of your practice, but studies have also shown that using ultrasound to guide procedures significantly improves patient outcomes and satisfaction. Point-of-care ultrasound delivers a win-win, with several medical and economic advantages over other modalities like magnetic resonance imaging. Using ultrasound in your office, operating room, and during athletics events will increase your revenues, but accurate coding is essential to optimizing reimbursements.

Join Dr. Alan M Hirahara, MD, FRCSC, and Dr. Alberto J Panero, DO for a comprehensive overview of how to successfully add ultrasound to your practice.

They cover the advantages of ultrasound over other imaging modalities, to help patients save time and costs over MRIs and fluoroscopy while reducing potentially unnecessary exposure to radiation. You’ll learn the applications for ultrasound, including how to improve diagnostic accuracy at the point-of-care to reliably diagnose pathology like rotator cuff tears. They focus on how ultrasound-guided procedures allow you to avoid nerves, vessels, and other sensitive tissues to deliver painless injections with 100% accuracy. And you’ll learn affordable and easy ways to bring high-definition handheld ultrasound to your practice.

Dr. Hirahara and Dr. Panero cover coding for diagnositic ultrasound, with tables to select the right current procedural terminology (CPT) codes. You’ll learn the right applications for maximizing reimbursements by performing a complete examination versus a limited study that is anatomic specific. You’ll also gain confidence in using the right CPT codes for pain medicine injections, including when to use 76942 and series 20600 to 20610.

Optimizing reimbursements can be delicate and tricky. When can and when can’t you bill for separate ultrasound guidance and diagnostic ultrasound procedures on the same day? Are you only eligible for a single patient encounter despite multiple injections? In which specific settings must modifiers be used? What is the right way to apply appropriate use criteria (AUC)? Attend this webinar to ensure the best reimbursement outcomes for you and your patients.

Board-certified orthopaedic surgeon, sports medicine expert and educator extraordinaire, Dr. Hirahara has been using ultrasound to guide his clinic procedures for over a decade. You’ll learn why he and his patients know that ultrasound makes him a better orthopedic surgeon. Dr. Panero is regarded as one of the top experts in orthobiologics and musculoskeletal ultrasound. In this webinar, they bring knowledge for beginner, intermediate, and advanced point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) users from all walks of clinical practice.

They are joined by Dr. Oron Frenkel, MD, Emergency Physician and Chairman of the Clarius Medical Advisory Board who demonstrates live scanning with the new Clarius HD3 – now 30% smaller, more affordable, and highly specialized for MSK. Let’s put blind injections behind us. Watch this on-demand webinar today to learn how to successfully bring ultrasound to your practice today to optimize reimbursements and patient outcomes!
