Join Pelvic Health Physiotherapist Adrienne Sim as she shares how to integrate transabdominal ultrasound imaging with physical assessment to enhance the precision and effectiveness of pelvic health treatment.
In this 1-hour webinar you’ll learn how physiotherapists are using point of care ultrasound (POCUS) to visualize pelvic floor and core muscle function in real time – helping guide assessment, inform treatment decisions and improve patient engagement. In this session, you’ll explore:
- Choosing the right ultrasound equipment for pelvic floor and core imaging
- The scope and limitations of a transabdominal approach
- How ultrasound imaging supports conservative management of pelvic floor dysfunction
- The impact of real-time visual feedback on patient understanding and motivation
- Assessment of inter-recti distance for diastasis recti
- Imaging techniques for the transversus abdominis muscles
- The role of ultrasound in evaluating urinary bladder function

Pelvic floor dysfunction – such as incontinence, pelvic pain, prolapse, and bowel issues – is common and pelvic floor rehabilitation is considered a first-line treatment for many of these conditions. Transabdominal ultrasound offers a dynamic, non-invasive way to support assessment, guide targeted therapy, and improve outcomes.
This webinar will showcase how real-time ultrasound provides immediate feedback, empowering clinicians to make objective decisions and helping patients visualize the function of the pelvic floor and core muscles with greater confidence.
Whether you are new ultrasound or looking to enhance your pelvic health practice, this presentation will provide valuable insights and tools to bring ultrasound into your clinical practice. Discover how RTUS enhances therapy outcomes, making the invisible visible.
Adrienne will be joined by your host Shelley Guenther, and sonographer Janaye Smith, who will perform live scanning with the Clarius C3HD3. Join us to learn how ultrasound can elevate the standard of care in physical therapy and accelerate your patients’ recovery.
