Join Obstetrician and Gynecologist Dr. Ulrike Dehaeck as she demonstrates high-resolution wireless ultrasound exams she routinely performs.

In this 1-hour webinar, Dr. Dehaeck will share proven point-of-care ultrasound techniques for scanning the uterus and the fetus. She’ll share rapid third semester exams that are making a positive impact as a seamless extension of a physical exam. You will learn how to:

  • Look for fetal cardiac activity to help alleviate patient anxiety
  • Determine the fetal lie and presentation
  • Locate the placenta
  • Assess Amniotic Fluid Volume (AFV) using the SDP Technique
  • Take comprehensive Fetal Biometry Measurements
  • Share videos of patient exams by email with Act One

Point-of-care ultrasound has made a profound impact on the routine obstetrical visit for expectant patients. Dr. Dehaeck explains the role of POCUS as an extension of her physical exam for a more complete assessment of pregnancy.

Unlike routine detailed prenatal ultrasound studies, focused ultrasound at the bedside can quickly provide clinically relevant and real-time information that helps with clinical decision making at the time of the routine exam or for time-critical scenarios.

Dr. Dehaeck invites obstetricians, midwives, primary care, and emergency physicians to explore essential point-of-care exams that can be performed in any setting during third trimester pregnancies to monitor the health of mothers and their fetuses. Using real patient cases recently captured on video, Dr. Dehaeck will help you fine tune your obstetrical POCUS skills with high-definition wireless ultrasound.

POCUS brings clinical value at any stage of a pregnancy, but in this webinar Dr. Dehaeck will focus on exams in the third trimester. You’ll see how to confirm fetal viability and perform M-mode to assess cardiac rhythm and rate, and assess overall fetal well-being.

Sharing real-time ultrasound imaging brings confidence to the clinician and can help alleviate patient concerns. Don’t miss this educational webinar with Dr. Dehaeck and your host Shelley Guenther.
