Join Dr Alexis Delobaux to learn safe and accurate BBL procedures. Find out about best practices in ultrasound scanning to improve procedural outcomes.
In this 1.5-hour webinar, you will learn how easy it is to add handheld ultrasound to your plastic surgery practice and reduce the dangers of blind gluteal fat grafting procedures. Dr. Delobaux shares proven ultrasound-guided techniques for making BBLs more accurate, controllable, and safer. We explore:
- Gluteal fat grafting: Why is it dangerous?
- Why should we use ultrasound when performing BBL?
- Basics in ultrasound gluteal anatomy and gluteal spaces
- How to identify your canula during ultrasound guided fat grafting
- The process and techniques of handheld ultrasound-guided gluteal fat grafting
- Preoperational mapping and targeted fat grafting
Join Dr. Alexis Delobaux, creator of the SMART BBL technique, as he shares handheld ultrasound best practices for safe and accurate BBL procedures every time. Learn how to keep your patient safe and gain the confidence to deliver consistent butt sculpture and augmentation results.
These last years, gluteal fat grafting, also known as BBL, became one of the most famous procedures performed by plastic surgeons. According to a recent survey, since 2015, the number of butt lifts performed globally grew by 77.6%, giving rise to controversies and research studies regarding its safety.
Europe has swiftly followed the American trend. Indeed, the Brazilian butt lift has seen 20% growth in the UK despite the fact that the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS) had advised its members against it due to increasing reports of fatal complications. BAAPS recently conducted a four-year analysis of reports and data related to BBL procedures and complications, which resulted in a freshly published UK guidelines on superficial gluteal lipofilling. New BBL technology and techniques developed since 2018 have driven the new guidelines. A safe procedure is now possible, they say, if important surgical steps are followed, including the use of high-resolution ultrasound to guide accurate placement of fat into the correct tissue plane.
Dr. Alex Delobaux is the only plastic surgeon in Paris using handheld ultrasound for his BBL procedures. With his radiologist colleague, they have created a new and safer technique, the SMART (Safe Modern and Artistic Brazilian Butt Lift) BBL. In this webinar, he shares his expert ultrasound techniques for guiding the cannula into the subcutaneous layer and visualizing your fat injections with great accuracy.
Going further, by sharing case studies recently captured on video, Dr. Delobaux will explain how to use ultrasound to recognize gluteal anatomy and identify gluteal spaces, as well as how ultrasound will support pre-op mapping and targeted fat grafting.
A recognized gold standard among plastic surgeons, ultrasound provides swift diagnosis and improves procedural accuracy in a non-invasive and safe manner. Traditional ultrasound systems have been expensive and complex to learn. In this interactive webinar, you will see how affordable handheld ultrasound is changing the game with high-definition imaging and artificial intelligence paving the way for easy, rapid imaging. We look under the skin using the newly released Clarius HD3 wireless scanners and the Advanced Aesthetic Package that automatically optimizes imaging for the busy plastic surgeon.
Join Dr. Delobaux with your host Shelley Guenther, Medical Sonographer and Clarius Clinical Manager, who demonstrate live scanning to help you to take your ultrasound skills to the next level with techniques you can start using with your next patient!
