hi I'm Dr Camila Edwards from first opinion vetry ultrasound today we'll be looking at how to scan the liver in a dog so for this I'm going to place my probe behind the ziy sternum and angle my probe cranially this should get the liver in view as we can see here and we can see the gallbladder there also we can see the bright white line of the diaphragm and we've got the cranial and cordal portions of the liver in view so now I'm going to Fan down towards the table until the liver disappears there and then I'm going to Fan all the way up again can see the liver disappearing over the top of the stomach there once I've looked in uh longitudinal I'm going to rotate the probe 90° now I have the liver in transverse so I have a more horizontal liver and I'm going to Fan all the way cranially and all the way Cordy that's how to scan the liver of a dog
