Location: Remote (Open to candidates across Canada)
Type: Contract Position (Part-time, maximum 25 hours per week)
Hourly Rate: $21 CAD per hour
About the Contract:
Clarius Mobile Health is seeking a Sonography Research Assistant to support our Research & Development team on a project-by-project basis. This role involves contributing to the development of cutting-edge ultrasound technology through data collection, labeling, scanning, and assisting with AI model testing and validation. Projects are estimated to last anywhere from 2 to 6 months, depending on the scope and training needs.
This position is ideal for students, recent graduates in diagnostic medical sonography, or experienced sonographers looking to contribute their expertise during extra hours in their week.
Core Responsibilities:
Data Collection and Labeling: Label anatomical structures and assess image quality for ultrasound images from various areas of the body, including abdominal, pelvic, obstetrical, MSK, cardiac, vascular, and small parts.
AI Model Support: Assist in testing, validating, and verifying AI models to enhance product performance.
Support R&D Studies: Contribute to verification and validation studies by providing accurate data and feedback. Take on additional tasks to support the R&D team as required.
Image Segmentation: Accurately annotate ultrasound images.
Image/Anatomy Classification: Organize and classify images based on anatomical regions.
Report Writing: Prepare detailed reports summarizing findings and progress.
Your Experience So Far:
- Current student or recent graduate of a recognized Diagnostic Medical Sonography training program.
- Comprehensive knowledge of diagnostic medical sonography theory and practice.
- Ideally trained in both General and Cardiac ultrasound; MSK and point-of-care ultrasound experience is an asset.
- Basic computer skills and access to a reliable internet connection.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
- A self-starter who is quick to learn and motivated to contribute.
Timeline:
- The timeline will depend on the specific project and your availability, with some projects estimated to take 2 months and others up to 6 months. Training will help determine exact durations.
