Your Role:

Though Clarius has already touched over two-million lives, we are still a start-up. That means that as our DevOps Specialist you get creative free reign, have input in multiple projects and will be on a career path tailored to your own goals.   


You will help extend, design, build, and automate the Clarius Cloud framework and platform. You will also contribute to the development (Python) side. Your teammates consist of a group of talented Software Developers and Architects, with whom you will assist building out an automated CI/CD environment. 


Naturally, this role requires strong technical skills, but you will thrive if you also value communication, consider yourself a quick learner and harbor an ability to adapt. 


Your Responsibilities Include: 

  • Work cross-functionally to create and maintain the CI/CD pipelines 
  • Architect, build and maintain a scalable multi-stage AWS infrastructure 
  • Support and improve tools for continuous integration, automated testing, automation, and release management making software development as efficient and effective as possible 
  • Unify our development pipeline, build process, testing and deployment strategies across diverse teams 
  • Design and implement effective monitoring and alerting to ensure the health and performance of production applications 
  • Mentor junior developers to help them grow their experience and knowledge 


Your Experience So Far: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience
  • Minimum 4 years of experience building large scale systems
  • A background in software development. Experience with Python is required.
  • Experience with C++ is an asset
  • DevOps experience with the AWS cloud platform (or equivalent)
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as code, using Docker, CloudFormation, Terraform, Chef, Ansible or other tools
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab or GitHub
  • Hands-on experience with containerization tools such as Kubernetes and Docker
  • Strong agile product management knowledge, experiences working with high performing software development teams
  • Critical thinker with strong problem-solving and time management skills
  • Desire and willingness to constantly learn and acquire new knowledge and skills
  • Team player with great interpersonal and communication skills
