Adjusting Gain

Shelley Guenther

Gain refers to the overall brightness of the image and may need to be fine-tuned when scanning. When an image is under gained structures are dark, details are lost. In an over gained image false echoes will appear in structures making it difficult to differentiate tissue types.

hi my name is Shelly and today I'm going to tell you how to adjust the gain or the overall brightness with the clarius app so when you start scanning you may notice that your image is too bright or too dark depending on which you're looking at if you want to turn the brightness of your image up you simply swipe from right to left to adjust the gain there's also an auto gain setting in the upper left corner of the screen the auto gain feature is adjusting the gain as you move around but if you decide you want to take more control you can turn that off at which point you can make adjustments to the near gain and the far gain independently or you can just default back to the auto gain and that's how you adjust the gain on the clarius app
