hi i'm dr camilla edwards from first opinion veterinary ultrasound and today we're going to look for the jejunal lymph nodes so to look for the jerijunal lymph nodes we start dorsally on the right hand side of the abdomen and we perform a castle pattern much like we did looking for the jedunum and what we're looking for is two long structures that are hypoechoic next to a blood vessel it can be tricky if there's lots of gas in the abdomen to spot these structures they can be up to six centimeters long in dogs and we're really concerned about the width of them so here we have the digital lymph nodes and we can measure one of them here the thickness of it and we can look out for any pathology associated with it when they're normal they're very difficult to spot but they're usually found a little bit caudal and a little bit ventral to the kidney to the right kidney and that's how to find the jejunal lymph nodes in a dog you
