hi I'm Dr Camila Edwards from first opinion veteran ultrasound and today we'll be looking at how to scan the left limb of the pancreas so we want to take our probe and place it on the colon on the descending colon on the left hand side of the body we want to follow this structure cranially until we get to the view we've got here where we have the stomach cranially in our image the um spleen uh in the near field and the transverse colon cordal and in this region if we fan we may be lucky enough to spot the left limb of the pancreas it's easier to do in cats as the left limb of the pancreas is longer but still sometimes we can spot it in dogs that's how to scan the left limb of the pancreas
