hi I'm Dr Camila Edwards from first opinion veteranary ultrasound and today we'll be scanning the right limb of the pancreas so to do this we need to start up dorsally in the top right quadrant and slide down slowly we'll see some ascending colon and then our duodenum pops into view at the top there once we've got the duodenum on our screen we may be able to see the pancreas in the far f field we can see the edges of it here and here and we may be able to see the pancreaticoduodenal vein running through it if we can't see it in longitudinal um we can look for it in transverse so R rotating our probe 90° then the right limb of the pancreas will pop up on the side of the duodenum so we have our duodenum here here and we have our right limb of our pancreas here so here we have the duodenum in transverse and the right limb of the pancreas on the side that's how to scan the right limb of the pancreas in a dog
