hi I'm Shelly clinical marketing manager at claras and today I'm going to tell you about bladder AI it's a non-invasive tool that can be used to measure bladder volume at the beds side it's as reliable as manual measurements but it's much more efficient so let me show you how it works so I'm using the pal phased array linear scanner and I'm going to place the scanner right above the patient's pubic bone and I'm going to use the bladder preset now that I'm scanning I'm going to activate the bladder AI by clicking on the AI icon and we'll see an overlay that identifies the bladder now I can adjust the opacity of this overlay if I like now you'll also notice that the AI is identifying this as a transverse image which is accurate so I'm going to scan through the bladder a little bit get the nice biggest picture I can of the bladder and then I'm going to hit the freeze button and you'll see that calipers are automatically placed in this case they're totally accurate but you can adjust those calipers if you want the camera icon is flashing at the bottom right this is prompting us to take a picture and as well this will save the measurements that we've done for the volume calculation so I'm going to unfreeze my image rotate the scanner 90° we're going to get A sagittal image of the bladder and again the AI is identifying this as sagittal when I hit the freeze button it places the calipers and at this point our volume is calculated in the upper left hand side of the screen so there you have it a quick and easy way to get a bladder volume using your clarus scanner
