this patient had a recent fall and is complaining of pain near the greater canter and gluteal tendons i'm going to do an injection near the gluteal tendons and use the ultrasound to help visualize the structures so scanning over the greater trochanter we see the tendons above it okay you're gonna feel a little pinch here okay all right okay we're just injecting around the tendons these tendons are the external hip rotators as well as gluteus medius i'm right above one tendon is the pain up here as well how about up here yes okay so this so right now i'm going to identify the gluteus medius tendon which comes from slightly a superior angle towards the greater trochanter okay here's the greater trochanter and the tendon inserting on it is the gluteus medius tendon and i'm going to go in plane and anesthetize the tendon okay well done so the patient had a fall exacerbating her lower back pain and causing an acute tendonitis near the greater trochanteric bursa and i anesthetized it with lupicaine to reduce pain using the ultrasound you
