hi my name is shelly and i'm going to explain the smoothing feature on your clarius scanner the smooth control evaluates the image on a pixel by pixel basis to identify tissues and to help eliminate speckle the image is enhanced or brightened to provide a smoother and cleaner image and so in some applications like lung scanning this is something that may be helpful to you so i have a regular lung image here with the c3 scanner i'm going to go into the mode icon and the smooth icon is the one with all the little dots so we're going to turn that on and you'll see how that changes your image so for some people that's much more diagnostic and others you know maybe not but that option is there for you now to optimize and customize your imaging
