Dr Frank Johnson from Sports Medicine ultrasound here to demonstrate a medial elbow PP injection first thing I want to interrogate is the oler collateral ligament on the left hand side of the screen we can see the distal humoris or the medial leond the humoris on the right hand side we see the sublime tubc of the enna connecting the two of them is the olner collateral ligament the only thing I'm worried about when I'm doing an injection is where is the oler nerve I come around the corner and I can see the erer nerve sitting just here I so therefore I know as long as I stay on the right hand side of the screen not a problem can't hit the owner nerve to do the injection I slide my probe out of the way so I have a short way to travel grab a small amount of anesthetic again I know that some people who are watching who are screaming right now saying don't put the anesthetic in you want the anesthetic trust me just a small amount we've watered down the Liane 0.1% and 0.1% isn't really enough to do anything to the platelets but it certainly does make the procedure more tolerable for the patient because otherwise this is just it it hurts okay there we go there's some anesthetic into the common flexor origin and we can see essentially a delaminating tear within the common flexor origin don't worry it's really small tiny tiny tiny but I got to describe it for the camera next thing you know I've got a 1-in needle pass it into that area there we can see it within the tendon give me 10 seconds we'll be done five four three two and that is all she wrote so there we go that is a comprehensive treatment essentially of a small but clinically significant delaminating degenerative tear inside the common Flex origin
