this is the clarius pal phase array and linear scanner the newest addition to the HD3 line that enables whole body multi-purpose ultrasound combined into a single scanning unit the first step in using the scanner is to sync it with the app you'll go to select scanner and Power It Up This creates a direct Wi-Fi connection between the scanner and the clarius app make sure to click join and that will complete the connection once the scanner is connected we can go ahead and select our application different applications will default either to the phased array or the linear array depending on what the optimal Imaging strategy is here I'm going to select abdomen which is going to default to the phased array and each application also has built-in presets to optimize the Imaging of the organ or the organ system that you wish to image there's two ways to toggle between the phased array and the linear array the first is to go into the applications and select a different application that defaults to the linear array say here to the msk instead of abdomen the other way is to go in through the settings and preset which just needs to be done one time my button settings and I make sure that I'm going to choose button up is user defined and I'm going to correlate it with switch array once I set that up and I go back to scanning now my button up is set so that once I press it it promptly switches between the two arrays with very little lag time or delay lastly I'm going to bring attention to the center lines that correspond to the linear array there's the first traditional line here in the transverse axis that corresponds with the middle of the Imaging screen but the other one as we rotate here is in the longitudinal axis that's slightly off center this is important for guiding your needle just off center and to keep it with the linear array while you're doing in-plane procedures to keep your needle in view during the entire procedure all these features combine to enable multi-purpose scanning in a single device that allows you to go with a seamless workflow while taking care of a single patient or taking the scanner with you from room to room on your next shift foreign
