hi i'm dr camila edwards from first opinion veterinary ultrasound and today we'll be looking at how to scan the descending colon so we'll find the descending colon above the bladder so when we first find the bladder we slide dorsally and this gas-filled structure up above it is the descending colon we can reduce our depth and we can see how thin the colon wall is we can follow this structure cranially until we get to the transverse colon at about the level of the kidney and the spleen where it becomes the transverse colon and that's how to scan the descending colon you
