hi my name is shelly today i'm going to show you how to do some fetal head measurements with the clarius c3 scanner so the first thing we want to do is get a good head measurement at the level of the thalami on the baby's brain we'll freeze that image and then we'll go into the measurement tools which is a little pencil and ruler icon at the bottom left once i'm there i can choose from a variety of measurements in this case i'm going to do the bpd i'm going to start at the leading edge of the skull and the leading edge of the skull and i can make some fine tune adjustments this is showing us 25 weeks i'm going to back in and measure the head circumference so in this case i'll start at the front of the baby's head we'll go to the back and then we can just move our calipers until we get a nice circumference around the bones of the skull the last measurement i'm going to do or have the option of doing is an occipital frontal diameter so from the front of the head to the back so we have three fetal head measurements now
