to identify the vessels of the face. In this um opportunity, we want to identify
the facial vein and artery. And according to that I want to show you
in a just a B mode that we can see different kind of anequoic image that we
can that can make us think that we can see uh two kind of vessels.
If we know anatomy, we know that the anterior border of massitor muscle includes uh when when it starts the vein
and the artery vein and artery. In the most of the of the case we have the
artery anterior and vein posterior. Now if we want to identify
the Doppler mode that we will use the power Doppler mode here
we can also see both.
One of the tip that I can uh share with you to identify the different kind of vessels that we have in the face is to
first identify this triangle which is the anterior border of the massitor muscle and then strictly we and
theoretically we will find the artery anterior and the vein posterior. What happened here to identify better the
kind of vessel that we have is that we can push and the vessel that stay
even when I pushing is the artery. What happened here that theorically we should have the vein posterior
and the artery anterior and what happened here if we push the artery is posterior posterior than
the vein. the vein disappear with the pressure. So this is very very
interesting and it show us how important is to identify with an ultrasound device
where how and uh when to inject and how is the anatomy of our patient because
this is very very personalized and individual um how it is show the different kind of vessels.
So a very useful tool to identify different kind of uh anatomy variations
and areas of the face effectively to work better for our patients is using ultrasound.
One of the most important areas are in the lower third the emergency of the artery and vein fascial vein and also
the mentalis paramein. Here we will have the mentalis artery.
Now we can see in this area accordingly
if we can see here in this area we can see how the bone has like a a cut here.
We can see the emergency of the mentalis artery. Now if we can see
in the Doppler mode I hope to identify and see the mentalis artery which is here.

Here we lose the continuous border of the bone and we can see how the artery can
can be able to see emergency from the bone.
Mentalis here also it's very important to identify the inferior labial artery that
we can see here in that portion and we can also can see
how the artery is going up and down up
superficial and down again up and down what happened here if we don't
know the position position of the artery that when we inject some kind of treatments as we can uh use fillers for
example if we inject in this point it can cause a complication.
With this tool, we can measure here
and we can see that we have almost four four mm from the top of the skin to the artery.
